Davenport Iowa Gets Another 2.7"!

Here we go again!

We've been spoiled the past few years with mild temperatures and minimal snowfalls so I guess we're due.  The Quad City area experienced a low temperature last night of -8 degrees with a -20+ wind chill factor and another 2.7" of fresh "powder" (funny how when you're shoveling it, it doesn't feel like powder).

The total amount of snowfall since Dec 1 is 28.3" which is 5" more than "normal".  According to the National Weather Service, here's the rest of the story:

You'd think after 50 years of Iowa winters that I'd be used to it.  Nope.  The farmers should be happy with the ground moisture.  Personally, I'll take a warmer day with Active Rain anytime!

I will stick to Hawaii, where it is warm and sunny.  That picture reminds me the surf is up, I better head to the beach.  Aloha

Scott:  And I thought it was for the "California Girls"!

Mark:  I was in Washington last summer and it was hot! :)

Randy: Aloha!  You have the dreamiest place to live on the planet (if it just wasn't so expensive).

Thanks all!

We had 3" where we're at in Kansas and we're further south.  That's just NOT right!  Oh well, supposed to be 65 here tomorrow and all the snow is already gone.

Earlier this year I took some pictures from Maui of the snow capped mountains on the Big Island of Hawaii.

Randy,

I remember it well!  Someday we'll return and look you up!

Right now, we're enjoying the snow-capped Rocky Mountains in Breckenridge, Colorado!

Aloha,

Lucky :)
