Food

In Davenport's downtown, local businesses will team up with non-profit vendors to provide a variety of food offerings. A portion of the proceeds from food sales will benefit area non-profit organizations.

 

Family-Fun

A family-fun area with the Scott County Family Y youth obstacle course, Quad City Flames hockey challenge, face painting, bounce houses and special appearances by AlwaysClowning.com will be available for family entertainment prior to the fireworks. The Left Bank Art League Fine Arts Fair will be held in The District of Rock Island.

 

Fireworks

Fireworks will be synchronized to patriotic music on the radio station Star 93.5 (FM) as well as on speakers located throughout Downtown Davenport and in The District of Rock Island.

 

Parking

The City of Davenport will be offering free parking in the Redstone Ramp (Main & River Drive), Harrison St. Ramp (Second & Harrison) and RiverCenter Ramp (Second & Brady) beginning at 4:30 p.m. on July 3 and all day on July 4.

Lucky - nice to see you again!  Hope all is going well and that you are ready to fire up the grill for the holiday weekend.  Are you in/near the flooded areas?  It's heartbreaking to see those folks that have lost so much.  Enjoy your Fourth and be safe handling those fireworks!  We like ya around here!

Carol,

Good to hear from you!  Many of the people in our area were impacted by the floods.  I just had one rental property that the heavy rains caused some minor basement back up that required extensive cleaning, some gutting, new water heater, painting, and re-carpeting.  Only about $3,500 damage.  Many people lost everything!

The Fourth was Fantastic!  The event mentioned above was a blast!  Our communities needed to have a great celebration after the tornado and flooding damage.
