The American Chamber of Commerce Executives has awarded DavenportOne the prestigious "Chamber of the Year" distinction. The Chamber of the Year is the nation's only award that recognizes the dual role of chambers in leading both businesses and communities. The designation recognizes DavenportOne's organizational strength, financial growth, membership development and its demonstrable impact on key community priorities.
DavenportOne was one of four chambers recognized as "Chamber of the Year" during ACCE's Annual Awards Gala on Friday, Aug. 1, during the association's annual convention, held this year in Pittsburgh. DavenportOne qualified as one of three finalists in its category (dues income between $200,000-$499,999).
"This is an exceptional honor for DavenportOne. We are delighted our peers recognize the work we do as outstanding in our profession," said Tara Barney, DavenportOne president and CEO. "DavenportOne is very fortunate to have the support of our dedicated members and volunteers; they have made DavenportOne an award-winning success."
Four DavenportOne staff members attended the conference in Pittsburgh and were on hand to accept the Chamber of the Year award.
The process to qualify, apply and win the Chamber of the Yearaward involves a multi-stage process. During all stages, chambers compete amongst peers from similar dues income levels: under $200,000, $200,000 - $499,000, $500,000 - $1 million, and over $1 million dollars. |
