Riverboat Gambling in Iowa!

Davenport Iowa Riverfront by Lucky Lang qcfsbr.com

Back in 1989, Iowa legislators passed a law permitting Riverboat Gamblingwith certain restrictions for the first time in this country in decades.  Iowa was first but over the next several years Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Missouri followed course.  Most of the casinos are located on the Des Plaines, Illinois, Mississippi, and Ohio Rivers.  With several changes in the laws over the years, Iowa now allows 24-hour, no-limit, dockside gambling.

Do you miss your riverfront home now that you have moved?  You put a lot of work into that place.

Yes, I do.  We will put it up for sale soon.  I was just over there yesterday with the dogs to reminisce.

I do understand the feelings left by reminiscing. I did alot of that this week. I also want to thank you for your time in explaining the ins and outs of placing the homestead for sale. its tough. Has your barbershop group ever produced a c.d.? your blog site is great, by the way.  I enjoyed looking over your pictures of Davenport, what a beautiful city. I almost regret that I left it so many years ago.

Good to hear from you and to know that you made it safely home.  It is always difficult to sell the home that you grew up in.  Lots of love and lots of memories to cherish.  When you are ready to make that decision let me know and I'll be there to guide you through the process.

There was a taping of our show Saturday night that is supposed to be available on DVD soon.  They are taking orders this Thursday night after we sing at the nursing home.

Davenport is a beautiful city with beautiful people.  If your future ever brings you back to Davenport, let me know.  I have an idea of a great Realtor(R) to assist you!

Take care,

Lucky :)
